Value scale and color wheel

\
1~I've never created a value scale before but I Do remember creating a color wheel so that brought back some childhood memories.
2~I enjoyed working with the color wheel the most because although iv'e made one we didn't use magenta we used yellow red and blue.
3~The most important thing that I learned from these videos is that
red and blue are too dark to be primary.
4~The most important things that I learned is that the first set of colors that were suppose to be primary becomes brown when mixed all together. And that different pencils do different things. I found the videos to be very educational.

Color perception

1~
Color may affect our perception of  the things around us. Like from a young age the color my mother related the color red with "whores". But the color white is associate with "purity". The way we see colors and they affect our emotion stems from our childhood. Either we are taught from our parents or from elementary style books.

2~
One thing that stuck out to me is how light can change our internal clock. The photosensitive ganglion plays a vital role in regulating our body clock. The photosensitive ganglion sends a signal to the brain telling it to wake up. Different colors also awake different emotions in our bodies. This stuck out to me because I always wondered why the color white makes me feel so serene.

3~
The concept the made the biggest impression on me in regards to colors is how Meghan is color blind. And I have a friend that is also colorblind and I've always wondered what it would be like to see no color. I often ask him how it feels to not see like everyone else and he says he can't miss something was never there.

Module 2

1.
Aesthetics Philosophy of the Art: Aesthetics is the philosophical study of art and beauty. Art leads from the dark and into the light. The 20th century saw an explosion of interest in aesthetics. The notion of art itself was always a major argument. The first half of the century the dominant view was known as the expression theory of art Tolstoy was the biggest supporter of this theory. He advocated for the philosophy of art whilst Collingwood formulated it later on.

CARTA: Evolutionary Origins of Art and Aesthetics: Neurobiology, Neurology and Art and Aesthetics: In this video key concepts that were presented was how we develop our perception of art and aesthetics. That was shown through neurobiology.

CNN Article: Our brain can interpret everything that we see preliminary marks everyday marks that we experience. Also artist have found ways to manipulate depth

2.The philosopher theory that I find most important is R.G. collington on aesthetics.  The theory was formulated in 1938. The expression theory states that art is the expression of emotion.

3. I have never looked into the scientific aspect of art. The lecture shows that art and science although different subjects can be connected in a way.The most interesting fact that I took away from the lecture is that art is created to exaggerate to be pleasing to the human mind.

4.They relate to each-other by each describing the aesthetics of art in some way .

5.The films and article helped me deepen my understanding on aesthetics and I am a visual learner so the videos helped me to process it more.

First Blog Post

Creating my gmail account was pretty easy it took about 5 minutes. It took a bit longer to create my blog because blogger would revert back to the homepage after I clicked sign in but it might've just been a problem on my end. I expect to learn more about the background of arts maybe by learning the background I will be able to appreciate art more. I feel like taking an online course is harder than taking an in class course because by being in the classroom setting you're more likely to remember to do your work but an online course you're on your own . 3 things that relates to me the most from the growth mindset videos would be
"Allowing myself to learn new things"
"Don't give up"
"Connect with your professors"
These 3 things relates to me the most because opening up and allowing yourself to learn things will always be better than just allowing yourself to just sit and not retain the information. And college is all about pushing yourself to the next level not giving up. Since professors have so many students going out your way to form a connection with your professor may benefit you in the future.

Module 15

When I signed up for an online art class my first thoughts were" How do you take and art class online." I actually enjoyed myself ...
